Summary:

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Neurosurgery– HSHS Medical Group – O’Fallon, Illinois

HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Multi-Specialty Care Clinic in O’Fallon, Illinois. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Practice Highlights

Position Requirements
  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility
  • 2+ years of provider work experience
    • Experience in a surgical position is preferred, but experience in non-surgical provider positions will be considered.
Position Details
  • Monday – Friday weekly schedule
  • Role is split between time as a First Assist in the OR, inpatient rounds, and clinic time with outpatient appointments.
  • 7-14 days of call per month with 1-2 weekends of call
    • Weekend call will also include inpatient rounding
    • Holidays are shared amongst the group for call

  • Base guarantee with commencement bonus

Qualifications:

Education
Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience
Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
Federal DEA license is preferred.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
