PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
  • A licensed and credentialed Physician Assistant provides diagnosis, treatment, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies, professional consultations and provide direct patient care services and follow-up in collaboration with supervising physicians. The Physician Assistant provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. Provides consultation and collaboration with providers on a regular and on-going basis.

• QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional/Educational

    • Completion of an accredited Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant program.
    • Completion of Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). Certification by NCCPA.
    • Current Illinois Physician Assistant License.
    • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), highly recommended.
    • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
  • Personal

    • Works effectively with all levels of staffing, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
    • Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
    • Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
    • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Location: Morris Hospital · MH ORTHOPEDIC AND SPORT MEDICINE Schedule: FT, Days, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
