Position Responsibilities:
In this position, you’ll be responsible for performing physical examinations on patients, formulating diagnoses and treatment plans, providing education, compiling medical data and consulting with a supervising physician as needed. You’ll perform suturing, splinting, fracture reductions, injections, aspirations, arthrograms and more. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays, making diagnoses, assisting physicians in surgery and coordinating both pre and post-surgical care. In this role, you will participate in call and rounding duties, evening call coverage and Urgent OrthoCARE clinic hours as assigned. You’ll be responsible for direct patient care in both clinical and surgical settings. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high level care, maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a Certified Physician Assistant with ORA, you’ll play a hands on role in getting our patient population back to what moves them.
Requirements:
This position requires you to be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with an active and unencumbered Iowa and Illinois license. You must be up to date and current on your CME credits, licenses and board certifications. We would prefer at least two years of previous Certified Physician Assistant experience in an Orthopedics setting, but it is not required. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately.

The pay range displayed for this position represents the pay range for all positions that are classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on a wide range of factors such as candidate skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks.
