Full Job Description
Northern Illinois Medical Associates is an established, independent primary care practice in Kane and Dekalb counties. NIMA is currently seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for opportunities in acute and sub-acute opportunities in office and Skilled facility settings in and around Elgin, Geneva, St. Charles , Huntley, Illinois.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient examinations and treatment
- Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic modalities
- Prescribing medication
- Patient and family education
- Skilled facilities rounds
- Patient documentation
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work some weekends and take after-hour calls
- Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned as dictated under scope of practice
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant required.
- Must possess and maintain licensing as required by Illinois State law for NP/PA.
- Valid CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
- Based on prescriptive authority, active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License required.
- Prefer minimum 1-2 years working as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience consummate to the specialty for which the candidate is applying.

Pay: $105,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
