Full Job Description
The Sleep Medicine/Otolaryngology Mid-Level (Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Provider’s main role will be to work directly with the Medical Director of ENT & Sleep Medicine to manage sleep patients and Otolaryngology (ENT) patients. This provider will work with physicians, managers, and support staff to provide care for patients with sleep & ENT conditions. This provider will work closely with the physicians to provide high quality, efficient, integrated, continuous, and cost-effective care to patients. This role will report to the Medical Directors of ENT & Sleep Medicine.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the Sleep Medicine/Otolaryngology Mid-Level (Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Provider:
- Conduct a thorough history and physical exam and create an appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic plan.
- Perform follow up visits with patients including medication management and post-operative visits.
- Prescribe and manage medications under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform procedures such as:
- place pH probe/nasal endoscopy
- debridement, etc.
Work cooperatively with the ENT/Sleep Medicine clinic staff.
- Support additional ancillary services as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of the Sleep Medicine/Otolaryngology Mid-Level (Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Provider:
- Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with valid license
- Sleep medicine or ENT experienced preferred
- Be energetic, compassionate, and self-motivated
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with PC-based computer skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- EClinicalWorks
- Sleep Lab Web-based Software
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY of the Sleep Medicine/Otolaryngology Mid-Level (Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Provider:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS of the Sleep Medicine/Otolaryngology Mid-Level (Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) Provider:
Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Illinois. All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
