Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant with Inpatient experience in an Acute Care Hospital, to join our healthcare team. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide high-quality medical care and treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments, completing History and Physicals, Progress notes, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans as well as care coordination with consult services and families.

This is a private practice position and the candidate will be the designated hospitalist PA for the patients of the group. Times are flexible but no later than 9AM until work is completed. Not required to stay on premises after work is completed and sign out given. Can complete charts from home if necessary, but by 7PM latest.

Duties:

– Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests

– Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections

– Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs

– Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients

– Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures

– Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

– Provide primary care services, including preventive care, health maintenance, and disease management

– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

– Document all patient interactions accurately and timely

Requirements:

– Valid PA license in Illinois

– Minimum of [1] years of experience as a PA and having worked as a hospitalist.

– Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans

– Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
