Physician Assistant – Urgent Care Center

Job Opening

Our client, an urgent care center in the Chicagoland area, is looking for a Physician Assistant who is passionate about healthcare, can work in a fast-moving environment, and is looking for professional growth within an organization. The desired PA will have a strong knowledge of general medicine, excellent communication skills, and be comfortable providing patient care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college
  • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credential
  • DEA certification preferred
  • At least two years of experience, preferably in an Urgent Care setting
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Spanish speaking candidates will be highly considered

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients, including consultations, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work with other physicians and ensure patient-care goals are met
  • Perform medically approved treatment or approaches
  • Maintain regular client treatment schedules consistent with the needs of the employer
  • Submission of reports per protocol and state or federal requirements
  • Have strong knowledge of general medicine and prescriptions
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise with clinic staff
  • Remain current with employer’s policies and procedures
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities

Performance Requirements

  • Respond appropriately and with professionalism in emergencies
  • Good time management and patient care skills
  • Understand and know the principles and practices of an urgent care setting
  • Have good coordination of sight and body movements in various tasks or application of procedures
  • Execute a high degree of accuracy when carrying out prescriptions
  • Have the physical stamina and energy to work in a fast-paced or moving environment
  • Be able to work with patients of all ages
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software

Job Details

  • Salaried position
  • Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30 am – 6:00pm
  • Thursday and Friday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Alternating Saturdays, one Tuesday off per month
