Stellar Pain and Spine LLC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Chicago, IL.

Position Summary:The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing quality patient care under the direction of a physician for the assigned unit. This position provides direct clinical care to patients, and assists the physician in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Stellar Pain and Spine LLC is an interventional pain management practice that has been well established in the Chicago area for several years with partnerships with major hospital systems. Our practice rapidly expanded to a new state of the art clinic and we are looking for a motivated physician assistant to join our team to help support our growth! Prior experience with pain management or spine/orthopedic surgery is a plus.

We prefer Chicago area candidates who reside within 8-10 miles of Chicago.

DAY SHIFT. No Weekends/nights/holidays; Full time: M-F 9 am – 5/6 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:·Perform history/physical examination and determine diagnosis, as well as treatment of patients suffering from chronic or acute pain.·Prepares and provides treatment plans to patients.·Assist with managing patients pain medications and scheduling interventional procedures for the physicians to perform to help treat the patient’s acute or chronic pain condition.-Assist with performing office based injections such as joint injections and intramuscular/trigger point injections.·Follows the latest professional guidelines for chronic pain management in regards to scheduling interventional pain procedures appropriately and responsible prescription of medications for pain control using a multi-modal approach.·Adheres to all professional standards of conduct and behavior required by the practice when treating patients and when preparing patient charts.·Participates in continuing education programs, both in person and online in relation to pain management. The physicians in our practice are very approachable and will be willing to teach you the latest best practices for pain management to provide safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications:·Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.·Hold an active DEA license.-Must be a member of the American Medical Technologists or AMT (AAMA) organization. AMT certification is preferred but not required.·Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in Chicago, IL and board certified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour
