Duties and Responsibilities:

The Physician Assistant provides quality care to those patients assigned to him/her consistent with guidelines contained within the quality management, risk management, infection control, customer service and safety programs for Hamdard Healthcare. Location qualifies for NHSC student loan repayment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a family medicine PA provides health care services on site and via telehealth to patients under the general direction of a licensed Physician.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise through direct and indirect patient care.
  • Investigates clinical problems and offers sound medical solutions.
  • Contributes to the development, maintenance and change of the health care delivery system.
  • Communicates effectively with other healthcare team members, patient, parent or significant others, based on their level of comprehension and understanding.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care by identifying medical, psychosocial and developmental needs and recommends appropriate interventions accordingly.
  • Performs procedures utilizing medically approved approaches and equipment appropriate to the patient’s age and size.
  • Provides information and instructions at a level of understanding appropriate to the comprehension level of the patient and/or significant others.
  • Actively participates in Quality Improvement activities

Qualifications:

  • Masters in nursing with certification as a family Physician Assistant.
  • Current CPR Certification Required and maintained.
  • Current Illinois Registration and Advanced Practice Licensure.
  • DEA and controlled substance license required
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish – Required
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situation, must demonstrate flexibility, leadership and teamwork ability
  • Must have basic computer skills (prior EHR experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46.00 – $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
