HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our clinic specializing in geriatrics in Springfield, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.
Springfield is a historical and thriving community offering many local restaurants, shops, breweries, wineries, and coffee shops. There are many museums in the area related to President Lincoln and our state capitol. Springfield also offers many theatrical experiences and live music venues. Springfield offers public and private schooling options, and many activities for children in the area. Home to it’s own small airport, connecting to Chicago O’Hare or Lambert International in St. Louis, is quick and efficient.
Practice Highlights
Well established, growing practice with great community support.
Monday – Friday weekly schedule with an option of either working 4 or 5 days per week
Minimal call – phone call only, no call time is spent coming into the clinic.
Support staff available for each provider
On-site access for labs, X-rays, and DEXA scans.
MRI and CT Scans both available nearby within the community
EPIC EMR
Position Requirements
Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
Board Certified or Board Eligibility
2+ years of prior practicing experience is preferred, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits Package
2 year base guarantee
Sign-On bonus, housing incentive, and relocation assistance all available
Residency stipends available for those still finishing residency
20 days off + 6 holidays per year
CME Reimbursement + days available per fiscal year

Education Qualifications
- Master’s degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience Qualifications
- 5 years of experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
- Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of practice is required.
- Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Certification by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants is preferred.
- DEA license is preferred.
