Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our primary care clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in Family Medicine/Peds, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a direct care environment. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients across various settings under the supervision of physician.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, pap smear.
- Administer medications and injections as needed.
- Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records.
- Engage in health coaching and patient education to promote wellness.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate medical billing.
- Background in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine.
- Experience with telehealth services and outpatient care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Previous roles in pediatrics, geriatrics, or family planning are advantageous.
