Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Gynecologic Oncology
Location: Advocate Lutheran General Hospital – Park Ridge, ILSchedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMSetting: 50% Ambulatory / 50% Hospital-Based
Position Overview
Advocate Health is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our Gynecologic Oncology team at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. This role offers a dynamic blend of operating room support and outpatient clinical care, providing the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Surgical & Inpatient Care
- Provide first assist support in the operating room for gynecologic oncology surgical procedures
- Perform perioperative patient management, including pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care
- Conduct clinical surgical follow-ups for hospitalized patients to ensure optimal recovery outcomes
Ambulatory / Outpatient Care
- Deliver comprehensive care in the clinic setting, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up visits
- Support clinic flow and patient access through efficient patient management and coordination of care
- Ensure continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Actively participate in daily huddles, case reviews, and multidisciplinary tumor board discussions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff and support personnel
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current PA-C certification required
- Active Illinois license or eligibility for licensure
- Prior experience in surgical oncology, gynecology, or operating room assisting preferred
