Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Ophthalmology practice in Oak Lawn, IL. The ideal candidate will work closely with ophthalmologists to provide high-quality patient care, assist in clinical procedures, and support the overall operations of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and patient histories.
• Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Diagnose and treat common eye conditions and diseases under physician supervision.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, and imaging studies.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain medical records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
• Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA) licensed to practice in Illinois.
• Experience or strong interest in ophthalmology preferred.
• Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
