Overview

Reserve Dermatology & Aesthetics is a physician-owned practice on Chicago’s North Shore offering medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology, including in-office Mohs micrographic surgery. We are a small, close-knit team focused on thorough, unhurried patient care and clinical excellence, without the volume pressure and bureaucracy of a large group or health system.

We are adding a full-time Physician Assistant to meet growing patient demand. You’ll work directly alongside our board-certified dermatologist, with real mentorship and a path to build your own established patient panel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of medical dermatology conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and hair and nail disorders
• Perform full-body skin exams and skin cancer screenings
• Perform procedures including shave and punch biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and intralesional injections
• Follow up on pathology results and coordinate care for patients referred for excisions or Mohs surgery
• Provide cosmetic and aesthetic services when and if experience allows (e.g., lasers, neurotoxin, fillers)
• Document accurately and efficiently in our EMR (EzDerm)
• Collaborate with the physician and clinical staff to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care

Required:

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification
• Active Illinois Physician Assistant license (or eligible to obtain before start date)
• Active DEA registration and Illinois controlled substance license (or eligible to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-first approach

Experience

• Clinical experience in dermatology is required (minimum 1-2 years)
• Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding for billing purposes in dermatology or outpatient settings
• Experience working within collaborative practice agreements alongside physicians in structured healthcare settings with robust experience working within EHR.
• Strong understanding of medical and dermatological terminology, physiology knowledge related to skin health, and diagnostic evaluation techniques including skin biopsies, injections, safety measure and optimal prescribing practices.
• New graduates or PAs transitioning into dermatology who have a strong interest in the specialty are encouraged to apply. Experienced candidates will be given top priority.

Compensation & Benefits

• $150,000 guaranteed base salary
• Productivity compensation: you earn the greater of your base salary or 30% of net collections, with total compensation up to $300,000
