Physician Assistant – Dermatology
Salary Range: 90,000.00 To $130,000.00 Annually
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide general dermatology services for a growing patient base.
As part of a highly-trained team, you’ll provide general dermatology services for a growing patient base. You’ll join a state-of-the-art practice with cutting-edge technology, including EMA Modmed (Modernizing Medicine) – a top ranked, specialty-specific EHR and engagement tool. This is a full-time position requiring at least 24 practice hours per week (3-4 days).

Specific Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of medical and surgical services over 24 clinical hours, 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and one Saturday per month).
- Counsel patients on topics such as the need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection, skin cancer awareness or skin and lymph node self-examinations.
- Perform incisional biopsies to diagnose melanoma and skin surgeries to improve appearance, make early diagnoses or to control diseases such as skin cancer.
- Recommend diagnostic tests based on patient history and physical examinations.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, families and other healthcare personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Record patient’s health history in electronic medical record system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Illinois Physician Assistant License
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate in good standing.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in a general dermatology practice.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.
