Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our advanced wound care team. In this role, you will provide in-home wound care services to patients with complex wounds. You’ll work closely with our Medical Director, operational team, and business development group to ensure exceptional care and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advanced Patient Care: Deliver specialized in-home assessments and treatment plans for wounds that don’t respond to standard therapies.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate records of all patient encounters in accordance with Medicare and other payer guidelines.
  • Operational Coordination: Work with wound care administrator to efficiently manage travel between patient locations and ensure the availability of essential wound care supplies.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Medical Director, business development, and operations teams to drive growth and reach.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold all applicable regulatory standards and guidelines, ensuring high quality care.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning to remain at the forefront of advanced wound care.
  • Business Development: Support business development efforts through in-services and attending wound care informational dinners, expanding the reach of the services we offer.
  • Cross-Provider Communication: Work closely with the patient’s other providers and nursing staff, ensuring effective communication to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engaging in Referral Partner Development: Participate in scheduled visits, in-services, cold drop-ins, and networking dinners with agencies, providers, and care coordinators as requested by the business development team.
  • Relationship Development: Build positive relationships with nurses and agency staff to foster trust and loyalty. Gather feedback on our services, share insights with our team, and act as a helpful partner to ensure an excellent ongoing referral experience.
  • Leveraging Industry Relationships: Introduce our services to professional connections and identify new referral opportunities.
  • Testimonials: Identify strong referral partnerships and identify healed patients who would be willing to provide a testimonial quote about their experience to support our growth.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice (ID).
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Valid DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong documentation and EMR skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $500,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
