Status: Full Time

Schedule: As needed in clinic, operating room and after hours.

Call: 7 days of call/month including one weekend

Practice Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Boise and Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seek a Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an on-campus clinic & hospital-based practice. This busy practice treats the full spectrum of arterial and venous disorders as well as vascular trauma. We have a dedicated non-invasive laboratory staffed by RVT’s and use the most advanced data and outcome driven surgical and endovascular techniques. The dedicated vascular OR team is available 24/7 and utilizes a dedicated state-of-the-art Phillips FlexArm Hybrid operating suite – used only by the vascular surgery service. Responsibilities will include medical and surgical care of inpatient, outpatient, and ER as well as surgical first assisting. The candidate should be comfortable working at a high level of independent clinical decision making but will work in close collaboration with the vascular surgeons.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy & DEA
  • A strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s general internal program across all communities we serve.
  • Experience in management of patients with vascular disease, open and endovascular surgical experience, and endoscopic vein harvest is preferred. Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
