Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a leading regional medical center in Des Moines, IA. This role involves providing high-quality care to pulmonary and medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for Med Surg and pulmonary patients
- Monitor and manage patients requiring BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and ventilatory support
- Administer medications, including IV drips such as Heparin
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float between campuses as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience (required)
- At least 1 year of previous Rehab experience [required]
- Pulmonary patient care experience (required)
- Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP, and trach care (highly preferred)
- Active Iowa RN license or Compact License
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Valid Driver’s License
Pay: $2,300.00 – $2,500.00 per week
