JOB OVERVIEW

Diagnostic Imaging Associates, PC (DIA) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our interventional radiology team. Both Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) will be considered. The APP will join our interventional radiology team to provide patient care in the inpatient setting. This role will primarily consist of performing image guided procedures as well as assisting the interventional radiology team with periprocedural care including history & physicals (H&Ps), rounding, or discharge orders as needed.

This full-time role offers an excellent work-life balance in Des Moines, Iowa. Candidates can expect a weekly daytime schedule Monday-Friday. There are no weekend, evening, or overnight call responsibilities. Four weeks paid time off, paid holidays and one week paid CME.

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS

CLINICAL DUTIES

· Performing US guided procedures: Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Thyroid FNA, medical liver biopsy.

· Performing Fluoroscopic procedures: Lumbar puncture, Myelogram, and Arthrogram.

· Educate patients on procedures, risks, benefits, aftercare, and expectations.

· Collaborate with IR physicians, nursing, and ancillary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with certification (AGACNP or equivalent).

· Physician Assistant: Master’s degree (MSPAS or MPAS) from an accredited Physician Assistant program with certification (NCCPA).

· Current, unrestricted Iowa professional license (issued via DIAL by the Iowa Board of Nursing or the Iowa Board of Physician Associates), an active Federal DEA registration, and an Iowa CSA registration.

· BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

· Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in radiology, surgery, or another procedural field is preferred. While ultrasound and fluoroscopic procedural proficiency is highly valued, dedicated procedural training will be provided for highly motivated candidates.

Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
