Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and be adept at providing comprehensive patient care. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in various medical settings, including inpatient care. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes through effective management and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
• Administer injections and perform various procedures, including cardiac catheterization and dermabrasion.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for acute pain management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document patient care activities accurately using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Assist in inpatient care, ensuring that all protocols are followed for optimal patient outcomes.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine is essential.
• Previous experience administering injections is required; experience with cardiac catheterization is a plus.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques is necessary for maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Experience in acute pain management will be beneficial for this role.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Cerner is preferred.
• Experience in an inpatient setting is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $114,188.00 – $121,727.00 per year
