Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate diagnostic evaluation.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across primary care and internal medicine settings, including acute pain management and infectious disease care.
  • Administer injections, perform suturing, and utilize aseptic techniques to support patient treatment plans effectively.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for data collection, medical records management, and documentation of clinical encounters.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine, or post-acute care to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Assist with triage and telehealth consultations to provide timely medical advice and interventions remotely or in-person.
  • Support clinical research initiatives by participating in data collection, clinical trials, or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.

Experience

  • Proven experience administering injections, performing physical examinations, and conducting diagnostic evaluations within hospital or outpatient settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding is highly desirable.
  • Background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma center environments is preferred.
  • Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, ventilator troubleshooting, or neonatal ventilator use is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with specialty areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics (including PICU), occupational health, or infectious disease care enhances your versatility.
  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish or other languages) is essential to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy coupled with excellent patient assessment skills ensures comprehensive care delivery. Pay: $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
