Overview
Inpatient Psychiatry at Ridgeview, Smyrna GA. 1099 contractual position.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment, particularly within a teaching hospital setting. This position requires expertise in various medical practices, including critical care and geriatrics, and the ability to manage complex medical records while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage and assist with ventilatory support for critically ill patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Provide health coaching to patients, educating them on disease management and preventive care strategies.
- Participate in hospital medicine rounds, contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding patient care.
- Engage in teaching opportunities within the hospital for medical students and residents, fostering a learning environment.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, adjusting care plans as necessary based on clinical findings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong clinical skills in critical care, geriatrics, or related fields preferred.
- Experience working in a medical office or teaching hospital is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in managing electronic medical records systems to ensure accurate documentation of patient information.

Pay: $112,551.00 – $119,062.00 per year
