SouthCoast Health is looking for a Full-Time NP/PA For Our Infectious Disease Department
Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Educates patients and patient families. Performs scope of work as outlined in state guidelines, laws, rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients and coworkers
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rounds on cardiac patients in hospital
- Works in Cardiology outpatient clinic
- Supervises stress tests
- Charts on patients condition and confer with attending physicians
- Contacts Cardiology office for coordination of patient care (appointments, patient demo and clinical information, etc.)
- Peer to peer reviews
- Documents findings and actions in the medical record in a concise, accurate and timely manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
NP-Masters degree in Nursing. Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program. Minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus one year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
PA– BA/BS, Masters preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current GA NP/PA licensure. Current BLS/ACLS CPR Certification.
Certification from an accredited credentialing body.
