Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job SummaryRadiology Associates of Macon, P.C. (”RAM”) is a highly subspecialized private practice group in Macon, Georgia, seeking a NP/PA to join our busy Radiology practice. RAM’s mission is to enhance the health and healthcare status of patient population served by providing the highest quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services available in the Central Georgia area.
Responsibilities
· Participate in professional development.
· Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician. Prescriptive responsibilities are reviewed by collaborative physician.
· Coordinates the care of patient populations, in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician, to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals.
· Assesses development needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriate educational programs to meet staff needs.
· Develops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
· RAM has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
Skills
· Must be a graduate of a program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Georgia Board of Nursing
· Current NP/PA license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia required.
· Board certified by The National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
· BLS AND ACLS certification required.
· 2-5 years experience.
· Candidates with less experience will be considered and procedure-specific training will be provided by RAM physicians as needed.
