Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant who embodies our core values to join our team of mental health professionals. As a NP/PA at Beal Wellness, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to our patients, collaborating with our team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff. This is an on-site, contracted role where you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care at our facility one day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and supportive environment for our patients, fostering their emotional well-being.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and diagnosis of mental health disorders with the highest level of clinical expertise.
- Provide focused and individualized care to each patient, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Show empathy and compassion in your interactions with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient and the treatment team.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients through regular follow-up appointments.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in distress.
- Collaborate closely with our team of mental health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatry.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in psychiatric nursing or physician assistant studies.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in providing psychiatric care and managing psychotropic medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and empathy in working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems. eClinicalWorks experience is a plus.
