Job Description:

A distinguished and highly regarded radiology practice in Columbus, GA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their dynamic team. The practice is committed to delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services and patient care, and is looking for a candidate with direct experience in radiology as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or background as a radiology technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies under the supervision of radiologists, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound examinations.
  • Assist in interventional radiology procedures, such as fluoroscopy, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access procedures.
  • Conduct patient consultations, evaluate medical histories, and provide comprehensive radiology assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient management.
  • Educate patients and families regarding imaging procedures, results, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Georgia.
  • Direct experience in radiology as an APP or a prior background as a radiology technologist is required.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology protocols, safety practices, and patient care standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
