Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Braselton Urgent Care is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and high performing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with training in ER/Urgent Care/Primary Care/Geriatric Care. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent and non-urgent presentation.
- Select, order, and interpret tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition and augment physical findings.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, stabilizing orthopedic injuries, and provide referrals to medical specialists.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.
- Notate findings and treatment course in patient electronic chart including follow-up notes.
- Perform physicals—including pre-employment, DOT and sports physicals.
- Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries, coordinating with employer/clients to balance the needs of the patient and requirements of the employer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- PA/NP credentials and appropriate state license.
- Understanding of medical coding and billing.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA and blood borne pathogens.
- Competent at charting in an EMR and electronic prescribing using standardized protocols.
- Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of workflow and OSHA guidelines for occupational medicine that includes employment physicals and drug testing protocols.

Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
