Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position requires a strong background in cardiology, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing health coaching to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular issues, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education on lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Utilize ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures.
- Participate in utilization management to optimize patient care and resource allocation.
- Provide health coaching to promote wellness and manage chronic conditions effectively.
- Engage in outpatient care settings as well as nursing home environments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) or 7 on/7 off (12-hour shifts)
No call shifts required
Setting: Inpatient
Daily Volume: 10-15 patients
Support Staff: 3 full-time MDs and 2 APPS
EMR: Epic

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in cardiology or related field.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
- Experience in geriatrics or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in tube feeding techniques and toddler care is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and utilization management principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Pay: $120,991.00 – $128,091.00 per year
