Our agency is designed to meet the diverse needs of today’s families by effectively integrating behavioral health and primary care services to improve clinical outcomes, access to health care, and overall quality of life for our clients and their families.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our agency. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, therapists, care coordinators, and primary care providers—to ensure comprehensive treatment and improved health outcomes for patients across the lifespan.

  • This is an in-person, employee role. Candidates must reside in Georgia and be able to commute to the office or designated location. Work locations may fluctuate between Eastchester’s offices and our community partner sites in Cobb, Fulton and Douglas counties. Please expect all services to be provided in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations, histories, and physicals for individuals receiving behavioral health and primary care services.
  • Manage psychiatric and primary care medications within the scope of licensure, including monitoring for side effects and interactions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to coordinate care and support recovery-oriented treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on medication adherence, chronic disease management, and wellness practices.
  • Provide crisis evaluation and intervention support in collaboration with the behavioral health team.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Contribute to health initiatives, such as preventive screenings, immunizations, and chronic disease management programs.
  • Support quality improvement and compliance initiatives aligned with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e. g. HIPAA).
  • Stay current with best practices, evidence-based care, and continuing education relevant to family practice and behavioral health integration.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA board certification and active, unrestricted Georgia license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current DEA registration for prescriptive authority.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in behavioral health, primary care, or community health.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, multicultural environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with others and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Able to engage with clients of varying cultural and economic backgrounds.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience using electronic health or medical records for patient notes (EHR | EMR).

Work Environment

  • Multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic providing integrated medical and mental health services.
  • Outpatient setting.
  • Team-based approach focused on coordinated, whole-person care.
