Specialty: Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Location: Atlanta, Georgia Company: Optigy Type: Locum Tenens | Full-Time | Night Shift | Onsite Salary: $90/hr | $120/hr Overtime ________________________________________ Opportunity Overview: Optigy is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant to provide full-time night shift coverage in a high-acuity ICU setting within a multi-specialty, community-based hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a local-only opportunity with a consistent, flexible schedule and excellent support from attending physicians. ________________________________________ Key Details: Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts including sign-out time)
Setting:
- High-acuity ICU
- APP-to-patient ratio: 1015 ICU patients per APP
- Cerner EMR
- Multi-disciplinary rounding each shift
Responsibilities:
- Manage critically ill patients with attending MD support
- Perform and document HPs, Consults, Event/Follow-up Notes, and Procedure Notes
- Order labs, imaging, and medications
- Perform central and arterial line insertions (case logs required during credentialing)
- Collaborate with ICU nursing and clinical teams
Credentialing:
- Timeline provided upon submission
Requirements:
- NP candidates must be Acute Care Certified
- Active Georgia license and national certification
- Minimum 12 years ICU APP experience
- Case logs demonstrating proficiency in ICU procedures required
