Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic plastic surgery practice. This unique position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized clinical environment, focusing on providing exceptional care in plastic surgery, hormone therapy, and medical weight loss. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve their aesthetic, hormonal, and weight management goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plastic Surgery Support:
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative consultations.
- Assess and monitor patient recovery, including wound care and managing complications.
- Educate patients about surgical procedures, recovery timelines, and expectations.
- Assist in non-surgical aesthetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, or laser treatments (training provided if needed).
- Hormone Therapy:
- Evaluate patients for hormonal imbalances through comprehensive history-taking and lab analysis.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and optimization.
- Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust therapies as needed.
- Provide education and counseling about hormonal health and wellness.
- Medical Weight Loss:
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
- Design and manage customized weight loss programs, including nutritional guidance, exercise plans, and medication when appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as necessary, and provide motivation and support.
- Educate patients about the benefits and risks of weight management therapies.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license or Physicians Assistant license in Georgia.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC, AANP) or PA.
- Previous experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, endocrinology, or weight management is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in patient assessment and diagnosis.
- Proficiency in prescribing and managing treatment plans.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
