Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, utilizing your expertise in internal medicine and cardiology. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as sonography and venipuncture.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide education to patients regarding cardiovascular health, disease prevention, and management strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to cardiology and cardiovascular health.
- Triage patients effectively based on urgency of care needs.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts or 3x 13-hour shifts, nights and weekends
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 20+ per day
Setting: Cardiovascular Medical ICU
Case Types: All types of cardiovascular medicine, STEMI, heart failure, etc.
Skills Needed: Central line placements, intubations, ECMO, LVAD
Support Staff: 1 MD in-unit during the day, 1 MD on call at night
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Cardiology or related field.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine principles and physiology.
- Experience in urgent care or infectious disease care is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing clinical procedures such as venipuncture and sonography.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical research participation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $115,718.00 – $127,359.00 per year
