Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position involves performing diagnostic evaluations, managing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients with cardiovascular issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Perform procedures such as suturing and pain management as required.
- Provide care for infectious diseases related to cardiac health.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
- Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on urgency and clinical need.
- Educate patients on cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in occupational health assessments related to cardiac conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Schedule: 10 or 13-hour overnight and weekend shifts
No call shifts required
Patient Census: 20-30 per shift
Will see all types of cardiovascular cases, including STEMI and heart failure
Required Skills: Central line placements, intubations
Support Staff: MD, APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified

Skills
- Proficiency in pain management techniques relevant to cardiology.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to cardiovascular health.
- Experience in diagnostic evaluation methods for cardiac conditions.
- Ability to perform triage efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols within cardiology practice.
- Competence in performing dialysis procedures when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care.

Pay: $115,718.00 – $150,000.00 per year
