About the Practice

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedic Spine Surgery team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in both clinic and surgical settings. This role works closely with orthopedic and spine surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with spinal conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
  • Assist physicians in developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and education
  • First assist in orthopedic spine surgical procedures
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and labs
  • Perform injections, wound care, splinting, casting, and other in-office procedures as permitted
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, therapy teams, and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of care
  • Respond to patient questions, prescription requests, and follow-up care needs
  • Participate in call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current PA license in the state of practice
  • NCCPA certification required
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority required
  • Orthopedic spine experience preferred ; not required
  • Surgical first assist experience strongly preferred; not required
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday
  • Clinic and surgery days

Work Location: In person
