Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Standard Business Hours Contract Type: Direct Hire Job Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physician to provide patient-centered medical care. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating patients while offering preventive healthcare guidance. The PA will conduct diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and assist with treatment plans for a variety of urgent care conditions. As a key member of the healthcare team, the PA will collaborate with other medical staff to ensure high-quality care for all patients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions, with supervision from the Physician.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments in compliance with medical standards and patient needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to inform care decisions.
- Provide preventive healthcare counseling and education to patients regarding wellness and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Accurately document patient information, diagnoses, and treatments in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Support community outreach and public health education efforts to promote wellness.
- Adhere to clinical and regulatory guidelines to maintain quality and patient safety standards.
QualificationsEducation
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited institution.
Experience
- Prior experience in urgent care, family medicine, or primary care is preferred.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is required.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) in Florida (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Physician Assistant (PA).
