This position is with a growing orthopedic group located in the Orlando FL area. This PA/ NP would work alongside an orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joints. The PA would also have some fracture care responsibilities. The schedule includes three clinic days and two OR days per week, following a standard five-day workweek. Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic PA/NP to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient care and possess expertise in various orthopedic procedures. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced medical technologies, and adhering to established standards in orthopedic practice. The Orthopedist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including outpatient procedures and rehabilitation strategies.
- Perform surgical interventions as necessary, utilizing techniques such as esthetic laser treatment and IV infusion when applicable.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide acute care for patients, including those in the PICU.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and ongoing research findings.
- Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and preventive measures related to orthopedic health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic practices, including radiation therapy techniques and neonatal ventilator management.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Proven experience in outpatient orthopedic care is preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced technologies and systems used in orthopedic treatment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct research relevant to orthopedic practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
