Job Title: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in Neonatology to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide expert care to newborn infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of newborn infants in the NICU.
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
3. Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
4. Provide education and support to parents and families of newborn infants.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
6. Assist with procedures and treatments as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
9. Stay current on neonatal best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
2. Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice.
3. Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Neonatal Physician Assistant (NPA).
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatology preferred.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
8. BLS and NRP certification required.
