OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and implementing treatment plans while ensuring the highest standards of medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy, and experience in acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses under the supervision of a physician.
- Manage acute pain management strategies for patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Assist in data collection for patient evaluations and treatment planning.
- Perform procedures including spinal taps and catheterization as needed.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding addiction management and recovery options.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure proper documentation of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs for patients.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice medicine.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred, with skills in addiction counseling being a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
