Company Overview
Zudans Eye specializes in providing top-quality eye care services to patients and has grown to three locations, including an Office Based Surgery (OBS) center. This Ophthalmic PA position will provide the accepted candidate with the opportunity to assist the physician in the care of patients, mostly in locations where the physician is not present.
Summary
As an Ophthalmic PA at Zudans Eye, you will play a vital role in supporting the ophthalmologist and enhancing patient care. You will assist the physician, often in another location, in providing services to patients. Services will include, but are not limited to:
- Injections
- YAG/SLT
- Dry Eye management including placement of plugs
- Glaucoma management
- Diabetic Exams
- Other procedural tasks permitted in scope
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Must hold a current license to practice in the state of FL
- Fluency in English language with verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively to diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients and families
- Leadership skills are necessary to direct others toward objectives that contribute to the successful treatment of patients
- Analytical skills, sound judgment and discretions
- Must be energetic, highly motivated, willing to learn and flexible
- Prior experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding and familiarity with electronic health record systems like ModMed
- Understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of primary care principles is beneficial.
