Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong background in medical terminology, patient service, and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings such as dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information
- Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests as needed
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and basic life support procedures during patient interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical assistant role or similar position within a clinical environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential
- Familiarity with EHR systems and their application in patient care management
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and support
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications related to specific specialties are a plus
