Physician Assistant

Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant ( with CAQ-Psy) preferred to join our healthcare team for an Outpatient (PHP/IOP) dual diagnosis substance use treatment facility. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with psychiatric and physical disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and mental health assessments for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Medications- order, manage, and monitor patient response to medication and make adjustments as necessary
• Review and interpret laboratory data
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Be comfortable with subcutaneous injections such as Brixadi or Sublocade

Requirements

• Physician Assistants with CAQ-Psy Certification preferred
• Valid PA license in the state of practice.
• Valid DEA in state of practice
• Prefer at least 2 years in the behavioral Health Industry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of current best practices in psychiatric nursing and mental health care.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14,400.00 – $28,800.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
