SDI Imaging, a Radiology Imaging Associates affiliated practice, is a Tampa Bay based, full service independent private radiology group with a longstanding commitment to excellence in diagnostic and interventional imaging since 1967. Recognized as one of the most active private practice Interventional Radiology groups in the country.
Our hospital-based Interventional Radiology team in the Tampa Bay area includes twelve (12) subspecialized Interventional Radiologists, five (5) full-time Physician Assistants, one (1) part-time Physician Assistant, and two (2) APRNs. The group is fully integrated into a high-volume hospital system, performing a wide range of body and neuro-interventional procedures daily using advanced imaging guidance techniques.
We also conduct multiple consultations daily, see clinic patients, and maintain our own service with admissions. Although busy, the hospital has a collegial and supportive work environment. Coverage extends across four (4) hospitals, all of which are currently supported by the Physician Assistant team. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. This position follows a standard day-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday assignment every six weeks. Saturday coverage is compensated additionally. There are no after-hours call responsibilities.
The position includes:
- Performing procedures such as ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopically guided Venous lines, dialysis access, Ports, Gastrostomy Tubes, Biopsies, Drainages, Chest Tubes, and others.
- Rounding on patients, inpatient management, discharges, frequent use of hospital EMR.
- Inpatient consultations.
- Assisting with outpatient consultations and follow ups.
Standard basic requirements apply, i.e. PA accreditation, Florida License (assistance with Florida License available), and an interest and experience in procedurally based specialty care. Health Plan, retirement, and bonus are of course also offered. Pay scale is commensurate with experience in Interventional Radiology and general experience.
