Part-Time Physician Assistant – Auto Injury/Personal Injury
Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Part-time (Flexible hours, 2–3 days/week)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team focused on treating patients involved in automobile accidents and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic, musculoskeletal, pain management, or urgent care settings and will be comfortable working with a high volume of personal injury patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and evaluations for patients involved in auto accidents or other personal injury incidents
- Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with supervising physician and/or specialists
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, etc.) relevant to musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries
- Document patient visits thoroughly and accurately, maintaining clear records for legal and insurance purposes
- Provide referrals to physical therapy, chiropractic care, imaging, and pain management as appropriate
- Communicate with attorneys, case managers, and insurance adjusters as needed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Ensure patient care complies with all legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted PA license in Florida
- DEA license (required)
- 1+ years of experience in urgent care, orthopedics, pain management, or a related field
- Experience with auto injury or personal injury patients highly preferred
- Strong documentation skills; experience with EMRs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Med-Legal documentation
- Understanding of treatment timelines and billing for PI cases
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
