TOC is a well renowned orthopedic practice in business for 50 years with subspecialties in trauma, foot and ankle, spine, hand, adult reconstruction, pediatrics, pain management, and sports medicine. The practice is located strategically throughout North Florida and South Georgia with 7 regional offices and two Tallahassee campuses. Ancillary endeavors include on site X-ray, MRI, Physical Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Urgent Care Centers, and Orthotics and Prosthetics. TOC fields team physicians for Florida State University (FSU), Florida A&M University (FAMU), and Tallahassee Community College (TCC), as well as numerous area high schools.
TOC’s Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) Fellowship is offering a 14-month training program specifically focused for recent graduates from an accredited program. Successful applicants can expect formal clinical, surgical, and field training in the following subspecialties: sports medicine, joint reconstruction (upper & lower), spine, trauma, hand & wrist, foot & ankle, pain management, pediatrics, general orthopedics, and family medicine. In addition, Fellows will receive specialized training to prepare for managing their own patient schedule, billing and coding, documentation, rounding in the hospital, taking call, first assist in the OR, and wound and fracture care. PA Fellows’ training sites will vary by specialty and may include but is not limited to the following settings: clinic, physical therapy, hospital, ambulatory surgery center, athletic fields, school athletic training rooms.
The program is a full-time, salaried position including paid time off and medical, dental and vision benefits.
