Physician Assistant – Retina Clinic (Valeda Light Therapy)

Sarasota & Venice, FL | Full-time | Weekdays | No call

About the roleJoin a warm, patient-first retina practice providing Valeda Light Therapy for dry AMD. This is a great fit whether you’re excited to learn ophthalmology and eye injections over time or you prefer a low-demand, consistent role centered on a well-defined treatment workflow. Ophthalmology experience is not required—we’ll train you.

What you’ll do

• Start and supervise Valeda Light Therapy sessions (we’ll teach you the protocol).
• Keep patients comfortable, informed, and on schedule (most sessions are brief).
• Document basic treatment details accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate with our friendly tech team and supervising physician.

Two growth paths (you choose):

• Track A – Learn & Grow: With training and competency sign-offs, expand into intravitreal injections, retina examinations, imaging review, and broader clinic support.
• Track B – Focused Expert: Prefer low-stress day? Become our Valeda Light Therapy “super-user”, running a push-of-the-button procedure room and elevating the patient experience.

Training provided (no ophthalmology background needed):

• Device operation & safety, laterality checks, start/stop timing
• Patient communication and comfort techniques
• EMR documentation and clinic flow
• Optional advanced training (for Track A): Retinal exams, imaging, and eye injections

Minimum qualifications

• Licensed/eligible PA-C in Florida
• Clear, kind communicator; dependable and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with patient-facing workflows and brief procedures
• Able to transport Valeda machines between offices

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
