Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) – Walk-In / Urgent Care Clinics

Locations:

• 11010 Bloomingdale Ave, Riverview, FL 33578 (Inside Walgreens)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP – APRN or PA) to join our walk-in clinic team serving the Riverview (33578) and Tampa (33625) communities. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent procedural skills, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting to the walk-in clinic with acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform common urgent care procedures including:
• Suturing and laceration repair
• Abscess incision & drainage (I&D)
• Splinting and immobilization
• Joint injections
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Other office-based procedures as appropriate
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, point-of-care tests).
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Florida licensure.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Accurately document encounters in the EMR and maintain compliance with clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited program.
• Certification: Active, unrestricted Florida APRN (ARNP) or PA license. National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) required.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in urgent care, ER, family practice, or walk-in clinic preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in procedures (suturing, I&D, splinting, etc.) required.
• Other: Excellent communication, adaptability, and ability to manage a high-volume patient flow.

• Skilled in outpatient procedures and confident in urgent decision-making.
• Patient-focused, detail-oriented, and flexible with scheduling (evenings, weekends as needed).
• Motivated to provide accessible, high-quality care to the Tampa and Riverview communities.
