About the Role:

Agape Behavioral Healthcare, a top workplace three years in a row, is seeking a qualified PA to join our team!

As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients in our community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care. You will conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Additionally, you will educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes overall well-being. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance patient outcomes and support the healthcare team in providing exceptional care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a mental health care residential setting
  • Psych license preferred
  • State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a similar healthcare environment.
  • Bilingual skills to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education on health management and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patient health and identify potential issues. Effective communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with the healthcare team, ensuring that everyone is aligned on treatment plans.
