Full Job Description

An established orthopedic practice in Port St. Lucie, FL. is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Join an experienced team of orthopedic physicians and practitioners. Previous experience in orthopedics is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Split between the OR and clinic
  • Some call and weekend requirements
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments, inpatient rounding
  • Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Perform injections

Qualifications:

  • Florida State license
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
