Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team in providing comprehensive patient care across various medical settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, including hospital and emergency medicine, with proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks. This role involves performing detailed patient assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and best practices . Experience in specialized areas such as critical care.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history documentation using EMR systems.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Support inpatient care by participating in admit and discharge planning
  • Administer medications following proper CPT coding and medication administration guidelines;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients across diverse populations
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification to practice in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding procedures for billing purposes.
  • Experience performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, medication administration (including injections), and basic life support certification required.
  • Background in critical care settings such as ICU
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $111,147.82 – $133,855.44 per year
