Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dermatologic conditions, performing skin cancer procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position requires flexibility for travel between our five office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of dermatologic conditions, including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and more.
- Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other skin cancer removal procedures.
- Assist in or perform minor surgical procedures independently.
- Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.
- Work collaboratively with dermatologists and the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all state and federal medical regulations, as well as practice policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must hold an active and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Florida.
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Must have a clear background and clean medical record as a provider.
- Strong experience in dermatology, including surgical and procedural dermatology.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel between our five locations in Brevard County as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in dermatology and/or Mohs surgery assistance.
- Strong procedural skills with confidence in performing skin cancer removals.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
